Comply with Delaware Sexual Harassment Prevention Training Requirements
The Delaware Discrimination in Employment Act (DDEA), requires organizations with 50 or more employees to provide sexual harassment prevention training every two years. The law applies to all full-time, part-time, seasonal, and temporary employees, as well as interns and apprentices.
The Law
- Section HB 360 of the DDEA requires sexual harassment prevention training for employers with at least 50 employees in the state.
- Unpaid interns and apprentices are counted; independent contractors and employers working less than 6 months do not.
- Employees based in another state who work some of their time in DE must also be trained.
Employee Requirement
- Training every 2 years
- New employees must be trained within 1 year of hire (but not until they have been employed for 6 months)
Manager Requirement
- Training every 2 years
- New supervisors and managers must be trained within 1 year of hire as supervisor

If your organization has employees in Delaware as well as in states with a different or no sexual harassment training mandate, we will work with you to ensure the most effective deployment possible. Many organizations in this situation train employees with state-version courses where needed, then use general courses for staff in states without mandates. Other versions of Once & For All include: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Chicago/Illinois, Maine, Maryland, New York, Texas, Vermont, and Washington.
