Comply with Texas Sexual Harassment Prevention Training Requirements
In Texas, sexual harassment prevention training is required for all state employees. Training is currently not required for the private sector. However, new state legislation about liabilities and time to report impacts all employers – both public and private.
The LawSB 45 added a new section to the Texas Labor Code:
- All employers and managers can be held liable for sexual harassment they knew of, or should have known of, and failed to take immediate and corrective action. Managers/co-workers/third parties can also be held personally liable.
- The time employees have to report sexual harassment claims has been increased from 1 year to 3 years.
Although Texas does not currently mandate sexual harassment training for the private sector, we offer a Texas version of our sexual harassment prevention eLearning course to educate employees and managers on this legislation.
Once & For All meets all Texas sexual harassment training requirements and more by:
- Teaching desired workplace behaviors, such as speaking up about inappropriate behaviors, setting and maintaining professional boundaries, and seeking support from a manager or HR when needed.
- Providing a pre-measurement module that captures a baseline of your organization’s knowledge and stance on sexual harassment prevention.
- Delivering actionable insights that will enable your organization to identify opportunities for growth on desirable outcomes.
- Offering a powerful Manager course (as well as Employee version) that zeroes in on changing the behaviors of managers who must effectively handle sexual harassment complaints and set the tone for a respectful workplace.

Multi-State Deployment
If your organization has employees in Texas as well as in states with a different or no sexual harassment training mandate, we will work with you to ensure the most effective deployment possible. Many organizations in this situation train employees with state-version courses where needed, then use general courses for staff in states without mandates. Other versions of Once & For All include: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Chicago/Illinois, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, New York, Vermont, and Washington.
See our Interactive Compliance Guide and Requirements Matrix for specifics on how Once & For All meets Texas, and other, state training mandates.
